The Same but Different: How These Four Sisters Never Forget Each Other

These four sisters all have matching Porter Gulch rings.

Four beautiful sisters!

Look at those faces! Late last year I had the pleasure of making four matching rings for Diana and her three sisters. She wanted the same style ring for each of the girls but to personalize the rings by using different gemstones. The end result was four sterling silver rings set with a blue sapphire, pink sapphire, yellow sapphire and a black spinel. As I was making the rings I thought about how sweet it is that these four sisters will all be walking around the planet with a reminder of each other on their hands. Having two sisters of my own, I understand the friendship that only sisters can have. Below Diana shares a few sweet words:

***

"Rings are such a powerful (and adorable) symbol of connection--connection to relationships, milestones, memories.  My sisters and I don't live in the same city, so I love having a symbol of our closeness in the form of a ring.  Also, our rings mirror us as sisters--in some ways, exactly the same, and simultaneously, totally different.  We are all reflections and pieces of each other, but our colors pop quite uniquely.

No one has even lost theirs yet--but really it would have been me, and I'm going strong."
