About

At Porter Gulch, fine jewelry shines in a new light. We design with unique gemstone cuts and colors to bring you a fuller spectrum of what fine jewelry looks like. Sparkling marquise diamonds, Montana sapphires in all their green-blue glory, the classic diamond halo reimagined—these are just a few of our favorite things.

Meet Brooke

Brooke Miller is the owner and designer of Porter Gulch.

Porter Gulch is named after the idyllic street I grew up on in Santa Cruz, California.

Years later while working in Manhattan, I was drawn to an evening jewelry making class at the the School of Visual Arts. It was there that I learned how to turn a sheet of metal into a refined piece of jewelry. A few more classes led to an intensive course at Kristin Hanson’s Fine Jewelry School in Tribeca, and to an Etsy shop and my first sales from strangers. Eventually, on a cold Monday morning in February of 2013, in a scene straight out of a movie script, I quit my corporate job to pursue jewelry design full time.

I now happily use both sides of my brain creating jewelry and running Porter Gulch. I live in Marin on a street not unlike Porter Gulch Road. And I work with an inspiring team of stone setters, gem cutters, and engravers in Union Square, San Francisco.
